Spotlight: Notably won the 2024 Grade 1 Prix Ferdinand Dufaure (2m6f, very soft) to show he has the class, and his second in the Grand Steeple-Chase de Paris in May, when ahead of some of these, shows he has the stamina for long-distance events, which makes him a leading player for this following a recent prep over hurdles.

Spotlight: Won the 2022 Grand Steeple-Chase de Paris (3m6f, very soft) so stamina is not a concern and did beat a number of these in the Prix Heros XII 29 days ago; one of the more likely types to land this marathon event.

Spotlight: Promoted to second in this race last year, doing well enough to suggest he stays, but next two runs saw him well beaten in the King George VI Chase and then unseat, after a lengthy break, in the Prix Heros XII when marginally in front (long way out though); ran better when prepping over hurdles recently and should keep on when others fade.

Spotlight: Didn't convince with his stamina in the Grand Steeple-Chase de Paris in May, although that is over further, but he often runs with credit in graded races, as he did when second behind Sel Jem in the Prix Heros XII 29 days ago; should be involved if staying the trip.

Spotlight: Certainly knows how to win and has won a Grade 3 chase over 2m6f here, but stepping up to this distance is a complete unknown; others easier to fancy.

Spotlight: Lightly raced gelding who beat Incollable over 2m1.5f after a huge absence in September, then finished second when upped in trip; has plenty of scope for better but is another for whom stamina at this distance is unknown.

Spotlight: Won the Grade 1 Prix Maurice Gillois - Grand Steeple-Chase on this card in 2023 (2m6f, heavy) and has run plenty of creditable races since, including when behind Sel Jem in the Prix Heros XII 29 days ago; stamina to prove but not dismissed for a place.

Spotlight: Another Grade 1-winning chaser in the field, his success coming in the 2024 Prix Maurice Gillois (2m6f, very soft), when Kolokico was fourth; hasn't reached that level in three runs this year and unseated his rider in the recent Prix Heros XII; would have claims if his stamina held out over a trip well in excess of any he's tried before.

Spotlight: Classy performer at his peak, his career-best coming when landing the Cleeve Hurdle in 2023, but has generally struggled over marathon trips; hood returns but needs a significant step up on this return to chasing.

Spotlight: Won the Grade 3 handicap Prix Montgomery (2m7.5f, heavy) here last time following a moderate effort prior to that; has never been over this far before but did improve for a step up in trip last time, so rates an interesting contender.

Spotlight: Finished a well beaten third at 60-1 in this 12 months ago after the stewards got involved (Juntos Ganamos was promoted to second), but mixed form since; blinkers return but needs more to land a Grade 1 event.

Spotlight: Pulled up in the Grand Steeple-Chase de Paris over 3m6f in May and was a long way behind Sel Jem last time in a 2m6f Grade 3; difficult to make a case for him at this distance.
