Spotlight: 425,000gns yearling by Sea The Stars; third foal; brother to 1m3f AW/1m4f turf winner Kildare Legend (RPR 99), half-brother to French 6.5f AW winner My Runner (87); dam placed at 1m/1m1f in France (80), half-sister to smart winners including Mekhtaal (1m1f Group 1) and Democrate (1m3f); already gelded but very much one to note from a leading yard which also runs form pick Mukhtalif.

Spotlight: 300,000euros yearling by Sea The Stars; dropped right out at Newcastle (1m, AW) last November and gelded in March; much better when third of 11 in Windsor novice (1m2f, good) last month; form has been boosted and he should build on that performance; strong each-way claims at the least.

Spotlight: Placed in AW maidens at Wolverhampton (9.5f) and Kempton (1m3f) over the winter, albeit with a backward step when beaten about 9l in the latter with a hood added (it's left off now); player judged on debut and she drops back in trip now switching to turf after six months off.

Spotlight: 80-1 for maiden at Chelmsford (1m, AW) two months ago but always in touch and kept on well for fourth of 16 behind an odds-on winner; should improve, so he's one of several with each-way claims.

Spotlight: By Sea The Stars; second foal; dam Listed-placed 7.5f 2yo winner (RPR 100), half-sister to winners Tamayuz (1m Group 1) and Nuqoosh (Group-placed 7f 2yo), out of 1m-winning half-sister to French Derby winner Anabaa Blue; another newcomer to note but she looks the owner's second string behind Mukhtalif.

Spotlight: 28,000euros foal, £30,000 yearling; ninth foal; Far Above half-brother to winners Encore L'Amour (1m 2yo; RPR 100) and Global Spirit (6f-1m; 89); dam 1m2f winner (72), sister to 1m1f/1m2f Grade 1 winner Ticker Tape, half-sister to 6.5f Group 1 winner Brando; perhaps best watched on debut.

Spotlight: Significant ability on both starts (good) and he stuck to his task well for fourth of 11 in C&D novice last time, albeit never threatening Gallic Legend who finished 3l ahead; needs to find extra.

Spotlight: Modest form when outsider taking minor honours (1m2f, good to firm) in smallish fields at Salisbury and Windsor; major work to do.

Spotlight: Disappointing at odds-on in November in his first bumper and pulled up the following month in his second; left Andrew Balding and although an 8l defeat in maiden here (11.4f, good; 100-1) in May was more positive, that was good enough for only seventh of nine; needs vastly better.
